A technorati.com surprise
Yesterday I started my weekly blog posts for my class. I decided that I needed to find other blogs on instructional design to see blogs that aren’t connected to my class. For my search I went to technorati.com, and I got a big surprise. I typed in instructional design blogs, and there I was! (Take a look – you’ll be surprised too! It’s moving down the page, so you have to scroll some.) http://www.technorati.com/posts/tag/instructional+design+blogs. So, I decided to Google my site name. Nothing came up, but since I tend to be driven and stubborn, I decided to google my name. My site came up again.
Being a very private person, I’m still not sure how I feel about this. It also doesn’t help that the company I work for doesn’t know that I’m working on my Master’s degree in a field that isn’t really related to my current job.

Wow! That’s exciting and a little intimidating isn’t it?
My blog was come upon by a guru in the field of Instructional Design for museums because of a post I had made witch linked to his museum of employment. When we all started are blogs I new they would be out their in the public realm of everyone to see just like everything else on the Internet. However, I had the mind set that no one would ever find my blog and if they did they probably would read it. The reality of just how public and connected everything is really hit home for me the day I saw his post.
You’re doing an awesome job on your blog Debra. I love the weekend coffee posts.
