Late Weekend Coffee
I’m a little late with my weekend coffee, because this weekend we ventured outside of the Denver Metro area to our hometown – La Junta. We attended a forum on the Pinyon Canyon proposed expansion and talked with people who are trying to stop it.
It was kind of nice to be away from technology for a little while, but it’s time to get back to work. If you’re interested in the Pinon Canyon topic, I’m tagging in del.icio.us.
This week I also interviewed my e-Learning expert. We had a very interesting discussion about the use of blogs, wikis and Second Life in corporate settings. I’m relooking at how black and white I see the world and especially the topic of validity. I’m sure as I recover from the weekend and start reading through some of the white papers Betsy mentioned in her blog, I’ll post a lot more this week.

okay – I have to admit that I am not sold on second life. My first exposure was a Wall Street Journal article about a man who spent 14 hours+ a day on Second Life married to another woman etc. I’m afraid it didn’t paint a pretty picture. I look forward to reading

I’ve passed by La Junta many times on my way to Santa Fe, I have never stopped to visit maybe on my next trip I will. I saw several pictures on the Internet and it reminds me of a lot of the pueblos in New Mexico. I can see why you are trying to stop the proposed expansion of Piñon Canyon. Why does the government need more places to train soldiers, don’t we have enough already?
